About The Role
GSK is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join its Responsible AI team, a pivotal group dedicated to ensuring the safe and ethical deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions in drug discovery and healthcare applications. This is a fixed-term position designed to contribute to the development and evaluation of generative AI models, with a particular focus on language applications and safety metrics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in defining safety standards, integrating AI components with existing infrastructure, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build end-to-end solutions. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of AI innovation in the pharmaceutical industry, directly impacting the development of personalized therapies and enabling rapid responses to emerging health threats. Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, engineering, or a related quantitative field; or equivalent professional experience as an ML engineer or data scientist.
- Experience in conducting user research within software development environments.
- Strong understanding of generative AI and large language models.
- Proficiency in Python, including development, testing, and debugging.
- Knowledge of agile software development practices.
- Experience with modern software development tools such as git and GitHub.
- Define and implement key safety metrics for generative AI, especially language model applications.
- Conduct user research to identify potential risks, failure modes, and application limitations.
- Integrate AI/ML components seamlessly with frontend, backend, data pipelines, and computing infrastructure.
- Ensure high-quality software development following best practices, including participating in code reviews.
- Collaborate with data engineers and technical teams to build comprehensive end-to-end data pipelines and AI solutions.
- Deliver data-driven insights and analysis on generative AI datasets to inform model improvements and safety protocols.
