About The Role
GSK is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join its Responsible AI team, a pivotal group dedicated to ensuring the safe and ethical deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions in drug discovery and healthcare applications. This is a fixed-term position designed to contribute to the development and evaluation of generative AI models, with a particular focus on language applications and safety metrics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in defining safety standards, integrating AI components with existing infrastructure, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build end-to-end solutions. Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, engineering, or a related quantitative field; or equivalent professional experience as an ML engineer or data scientist.
- Experience in conducting user research within software development environments.
- Strong understanding of generative AI and large language models.
- Proficiency in Python, including development, testing, and debugging.
- Knowledge of agile software development practices.
- Experience with modern software development tools such as git and GitHub.
- Define and implement key safety metrics for generative AI, especially language model applications.
- Conduct user research to identify potential risks, failure modes, and application limitations.
- Integrate AI/ML components seamlessly with frontend, backend, data pipelines, and computing infrastructure.
- Ensure high-quality software development following best practices, including participating in code reviews.
- Collaborate with data engineers and technical teams to build comprehensive end-to-end data pipelines and AI solutions.
- Deliver data-driven insights and analysis on generative AI datasets to inform model improvements and safety protocols.
