We’re looking for a talented Product Designer (UX/UI) to work on our insurance accounting module. We are seeking someone who thrives at the intersection of product strategy and design execution. You’ll work closely with the Head of Product Design, the Product Manager, engineers, and stakeholders to shape intuitive, impactful solutions from concept to launch. In this role, you’ll flex between high-level product thinking and hands-on design craft—helping us define what to build and designing how it looks, feels, and works.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out discovery research, synthesizing it to help identify key project requirements and scope.
- Translate complex insurance workflows into simple, elegant user experiences.
- Own the end-to-end design process: research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.
- Collaborate with engineers to bring designs to life with precision and consistency.
- Champion user needs across the product lifecycle, using data and research to inform decisions.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system for scalability and efficiency.
- Resident in the United Kingdom.
- 3+ years proven experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role.
- High proficiency in Figma.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, UX flows, and visual design skills.
- Experience working on SaaS or enterprise products (insurance or fintech is a bonus).
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Comfortable switching between big-picture product strategy and pixel-level detail.
- Strong communication skills—you can explain your decisions clearly and collaborate across teams.
- Be part of a growing company that’s redefining the insurance industry.
- Work with a collaborative, cross-functional team that values design thinking.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- We offer a fantastic culture with flexible working and a good work life balance.
SchemeServe has spent 22 years turning insurance products into seductive profit-making machines.
As a company, we are raging for change and are unstoppable in our innovation. We challenge the boundaries of the industry we're in and offer a huge dose of personality along the way.
In a nutshell, SchemeServe is UK based Insurance SaaS solution specialising in services for starting, managing and growing traditional (and specialist) insurance products. It was started in 2000 by our CEO and Founder, Adam, and the software now represents the leading edge in super-fast scheme deployment and truly Obsessive Support ™.
We are a fully remote company, however, we do meet once a quarter for some serious (and some not-so-serious) time together. We prize self-development and encourage staff to continue learning, and set new challenges for themselves.
Being remote, we can't offer an unlimited free kitchen or bean bags, but we can offer flexible working with a great work-life balance, a warm and friendly working environment and a fantastic company culture.
