Contract - Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

You'll become part of an organisation renowned for supporting Australians in building and managing their wealth, backed by a vast network of specialists across the country.
Your new role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Business Banking collateral team, you'll steer the modernization of legacy platforms under the ADP transformation program. You'll spend around 70-80% of your time shaping backend APIs in .NET and AWS, while also delivering front-end enhancements in React once core services are live. You'll take end-to-end ownership of one collateral service stream, working closely with fellow engineers, a business analyst and a product manager to design resilient solutions. This role blends backend craftsmanship with enough React work to give you full-stack exposure.
What you'll need to succeed
- Solid expertise in .NET (version 8+ preferred) and object-oriented design
- Hands-on experience building, testing and deploying APIs independently
- Familiarity with AWS services and PostgreSQL for scalable data storage
- Practical React skills or willingness to pick up front-end best practices
- Strong grasp of system architecture, design patterns and API‐first development
- Bonus: Python exposure to support auxiliary scripting and automation
- Comfortable with a hybrid rhythm, joining onsite rituals twice a week
