IP Network Engineer
Daily Rate: $550-600 inclusive of Superannuation
Contract Duration- 6 months duration

Description:
Core Responsibilities:
• Network Device Configuration and Management: Configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Network Security: Implementing and maintaining network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access control (NAC).
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshooting network problems, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to ensure network stability and performance.
• Documentation and Standardization: Documenting network configurations, procedures, and policies, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Collaboration: Working with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure network requirements are met.
Specific Tasks:
• IP Address Management: Auditing and managing IP addresses, ensuring proper allocation and utilization.
• Network Performance Monitoring: Monitoring network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing network configurations.
• Network Upgrades and Maintenance: Performing regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patching to ensure system stability and security.
• Security Measures: Implementing security measures to protect network infrastructure and data from unauthorized access.
Knowledge and Skills:
• IP Protocol Knowledge: A strong understanding of IP protocols, networking concepts, and technologies.
• Network Design and Architecture: Experience in designing and implementing network architectures for various environments.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot network issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Security Knowledge: Knowledge of network security principles and technologies.
• Communication and Collaboration: Good communication and collaboration skills to work with other IT professionals and stakeholders.
Experience and Education:
• Education: A bachelor's degree or Tertiary qualification in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field is often required.
• Certifications: Industry certifications, such as Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP), can be beneficial.
