IT PMO Manager – Strategic Leader for IT Excellence
You see the big picture, connect the dots, and drive results. You don’t just manage projects — you shape the way projects are run, ensuring structure, clarity, and impact across the organization.
Your mission
As IT PMO Manager, you play a key strategic role within the IT organization, reporting directly to the CIO. You lead, coordinate, and oversee all IT project, program, and portfolio activities. You establish solid project governance, ensure consistent methodology, and drive operational excellence across initiatives.
You guide and support Project and Program Managers through all phases of their projects. You monitor progress, budgets, schedules, and risks — and step in before problems escalate. Through clear reporting and reliable management insights, you give leadership a transparent view of the portfolio’s health.
You are the central point of contact for project management within IT. You balance priorities, manage dependencies, and align stakeholders. You foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team and the wider organization.
You lead the PMO team with confidence and purpose, ensuring each team member grows professionally and delivers measurable impact.
Your impact
- Lead and coach a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts.
- Define and maintain project management standards, methods, and best practices.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Drive effective portfolio governance and project reporting.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Promote knowledge sharing, professional growth, and operational excellence.
Your profile
You are an experienced, structured, and inspiring IT leader — equally comfortable in strategy and execution.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (IT, Business Management, Information Management, or equivalent).
- 5–10 years of experience in IT project management, including several years in PMO coordination or leadership.
- Proven knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI/PMP, and Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe).
- Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of Project or Program Managers.
- Skilled in structuring complex information into actionable processes, tools, and reports.
- High standards for project quality, delivery, and results.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to interact confidently at all organizational levels.
- A mindset for continuous improvement — you challenge inefficiency and inspire your team to do better every day.
- French and /or Dutch + English
