JD: DevOps Engineer – Security Engineering (5 to 8 Years Experience)

Role Overview:

As a mid-level DevOps Security Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating security best practices into the DevOps lifecycle. You’ll work closely with development and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks.

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Monitor system performance, availability, and security.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.

Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and governance policies.

Maintain secure configurations for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Support incident response and root cause analysis for security events.

Required Skills:

5–8 years of experience in DevOps or Security Engineering.

Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes.

Familiarity with security tools (e.g., Snyk, Aqua, Twistlock).

Strong understanding of IAM, firewalls, and network security.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.

Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
