About the Client

We are supporting one of our clients, a global AI-driven technology department, in expanding its engineering team in Portugal. The team develops scalable, production-grade AI applications built on proprietary machine learning models, with a strong focus on performance, data efficiency, and architectural excellence.

The engineering organization counts 23 engineers across Lisbon and Porto, and about 20 globally (in the UK and Paris).

The Role

We are hiring an experienced Python Developer to join the AI engineering team based in Lisbon.

You’ll play a key role in developing and scaling backend applications that power AI-driven products with real business impact.

This position focuses primarily on backend engineering, contributing to high-performance, distributed systems used by thousands of users worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend applications on top of proprietary AI models.
• Design and develop APIs and services supporting large-scale synchronous workloads.
• Optimize data structures and memory usage for maximum performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in Portugal, the UK, and Paris on AI product development.
• Deliver production-ready applications with measurable business impact.
