In short:

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations of Leading L1 Association. This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of ecosystem development, stakeholder coordination, and operational execution.

As Executive Director, you will act as the primary connector across multiple stakeholder groups, from internal team members and board advisors to external grantees, technology partners, and community members. You’ll be expected to balance strategic alignment with hands-on implementation, ensuring that grant programs, communication, and ecosystem initiatives are coordinated, transparent, and effective.

This role requires maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while setting up scalable, professionalized processes across a growing organization.

Company description:

A non-profit organization at the heart of the Leading L1 ecosystem. It is responsible for promoting the global adoption of the L1 network through grant programs, education initiatives, ecosystem partnerships, and innovation support.

The Association works with a wide range of stakeholders, from enterprise and government leaders to developers, startups, and educational institutions, to foster long-term value creation and real-world use cases powered by L1’s public distributed ledger technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the day-to-day operational lead for the Association, ensuring strong execution of grant programs, ecosystem engagement, and strategic initiatives.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between executive board members, program managers, and external stakeholders (startups, enterprises, government bodies, etc.).
  • Streamline processes across communication, reporting, documentation, and program delivery, bringing clarity, structure, and consistency.
  • Ensure smooth and transparent grantee experience: from application and onboarding to post-grant reporting and ecosystem integration.
  • Represent the Association in strategic meetings, industry forums, and ecosystem events, reinforcing its role as a trustworthy, efficient, and forward-thinking organisation.
  • Build trusted relationships with the L1’s Governing Council, and other ecosystem partners to align goals and messaging.
  • Support the President and Executive Board in key projects, including communication strategy, hiring, governance refinement, and grant impact measurement.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in operations, stakeholder engagement, or ecosystem management, ideally within Web3, tech nonprofits, innovation hubs, or grant-giving institutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to build bridges across technical, business, and public sector stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of operational leadership: building repeatable processes, managing complex programs, and implementing scalable infrastructure.
  • Strategic thinker who’s also comfortable being hands-on, especially during a phase of organisational growth and change.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence — able to foster alignment without political friction.
  • Familiarity with Web3/blockchain ecosystems is strongly preferred; a personal curiosity in emerging technologies is essential.
