DEVOPS ENGINEER - REMOTE
SAP Cloud Virtualization is at the forefront of virtualization technologies for in-memory computing. Through an innovative architecture that virtualizes NVM as system memory, the group dramatically reduces cloud costs and supports advanced infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement automation and testing processes for system-level software in leading cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub CI/CD, or equivalent tools to ensure efficient automated testing and delivery.
• Support existing test suites and frameworks, analyze and enhance automated test coverage, and write new functional and performance tests as required.
• File, track, and assist with the recreation of bugs and complex cases, working closely with internal engineering and support teams.
• Support and maintain Landscape (production-like testing environments) and Labs (bare-metal setups, including ARM architectures), as well as dev servers, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and code tests for new features and software deployments.
• Rerun, troubleshoot, and optimize functional and performance test cycles to ensure software quality and robustness.
Your Profile:
• Minimum 3 years of DevOps experience with public cloud infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Linux experience (shell/cmdline), with knowledge comparable to LPIC-1 or CompTIA Linux+ certifications.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
• Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins or GitHub CI/CD.
• Mastery of Python and Bash scripting; experience with other cloud CI/CD languages such as JavaScript, Go, or Groovy is a plus.
• At least 2 years designing and implementing automation processes for cloud/CI/CD environments, focusing on automated testing and delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Strong English skills, both oral and written.
• Self-driven with the ability to learn from documentation and operate with minimal guidance.
