Senior Software Engineer

Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “Senior Software Engineers” and offering them to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base located in Kartal, İstanbul which is being established by General Electric Aviation, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.).

Expected qualification, requirements and desired characteristics from candidates are as below:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development
• Good understanding of C++ and OOP principles
• Experience in VTK
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent communication & teamwork skill

Desired Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
• Experience in Qt
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience in 3D Graphics Programming; OpenGL and/or Direct3D is a big plus
• Experience developing and executing test plans in a continuous integration environment, including automated unit and regression testing, etc.
• Experience with source code control systems (git, subversion, etc.) and related practices
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development and/or Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD)

The essential responsibilities of this position are:

• Work with a team of software engineers and design engineers to develop next generation engineering software solutions in an Agile/Scrum research environment.
• Participate in project planning and tracking for engineering software projects.
• Provide regular feedback to customer and leadership team and interact regularly with GE sites worldwide to resolve project related issues.
• Become a member of GE Aerospace global team and share best practices among peers.
