About The Role
As a Mobile App Engineer at Coop, you’ll be part of our Digital & Technology department — a collaborative environment with more than 50 colleagues working across mobile, backend, platform, and design.
Together, we build and maintain digital products used by millions of customers and members across Norway.
You’ll play a key role in developing and improving our mobile app ecosystem, making sure our users get seamless, secure, and delightful digital experiences.

You’ll play a key role in developing and improving our mobile app ecosystem, making sure our users get seamless, secure, and delightful digital experiences.
Examples of what you’ll do:
- Design, build, and maintain mobile applications with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences
- Explore and implement new mobile technologies and frameworks that improve speed, quality, and user experience
- Ensure accessibility and universal design principles are applied throughout our apps
- Continuously improve architecture, test coverage, and build processes
- Share knowledge, review code, and contribute to a supportive and learning-oriented environment
You enjoy solving real user problems and care deeply about building products that make a difference. You’re proactive, curious, and collaborative — always eager to learn, share, and explore new ideas.
We think you’ll thrive here if you:
- Have 3+ years of experience in mobile app development
- Have solid hands-on experience with Flutter (experience with native Android/iOS is a plus)
- Are comfortable working with both native and hybrid apps
- Understand universal design and accessibility principles
- Enjoy working in cross-functional teams and taking shared ownership of products
- Communicate well in English (Norwegian is a plus)
- Hold a relevant higher education or equivalent experience
