Job Title : Employee Relation Senior Specialist

Entity : Abu Dhabi Govt


A govt entity in Abu Dhabi is on a look out for Senior Specialist ER Emirati national who creates and maintains a positive relationship with all employees by to keep employees motivated and engaged in their work. Ensures employees needs are serviced in a timely and efficient manner, and that all applicable policies, regulations and decrees are implemented as needed.


Employee Data Administration & Self-Service

  • Delivers Employee Relations solutions on topics including but not limited to (HR policies, disciplinary procedures, working hours, leaves, etc.…) to maintain compliance with HRA regulations.
  • Reviews the prepares various employee letters requests / certificates (Banks letters, Embassies Letters, End of Service certificates, etc…) as appropriate and in align with organization policies and procedures and on a timely manner.
  • Manages the attendance system across the organization, while ensure administering accuracy in time and attendance data processing.
  • Issue memos for approval in the specified system on various cases such as unpaid leave, formation of investigation committees, probation period exemptions.
  • Follows up with outsourcing agencies regarding the outsourced employees’ leaves, attendance and contracts.
  • Maintains, records and updates employees’ records (hire-to-retire data management), ensuring their accuracy and availability through the system and for use by approved employees.
  • Provides recommendations to implement appropriate and safe file management for all employee documents.
  • Conducts the registration and processing of health insurances for employees in coordination with external health agencies.
  • Review and approve self-service updates on employees’ personal records, contributing to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.


Employee Relations, Investigations & Grievances Management

  • Performs effective and open communication channels with employees at all levels and ensure all employee services or policy matters and changes are communicated proactively and effectively.
  • Supports People & Performance team as well as sectors / departments on Employee Relation/ Experience matters, employment practices and casework including but not limited to (litigation, disciplinary, grievance, leaves, modifications, investigations, etc…), and participate in recommending actions to be taken.
  • Participate in managing conflicts that exist among individuals, groups, functions and sites to eliminate any risks to Organization ability to function in a healthy manner.
  • Addresses and resolve employee grievances and complaints in a satisfactory and timely manner and make employees feel heard and understood.
  • Conducts research and partner with People & Performance and Legal teams to proactively monitor and embed relevant statutory and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in projects to develop new employee relations processes and other process improvements.
  • Other duties as applicable to the position.

  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Demonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.


Key requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree (Master Preferred) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or any other degree within relevant industry.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources is preferred


Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience


Skills Required

  • Language: Full professional English and Arabic proficiency both in speaking and writing
  • Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • High level of competency in relevant software applications
  • Ability to quickly integrate with existing business software tools and knowledge of other relevant industry software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including appropriate stakeholder alignment.
  • Evidence of creating, implementing, and managing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and to prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to work under own direction and high degree of initiative.
  • Knowledge in HR databases and applicant tracking systems.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of human resource employee relations/ experience techniques.
