We're searching for passionate and curious Graduate Software Engineers to join our growing team. What You'll Do
- Build & Innovate: Contribute to our award-winning platform and internal tools. You'll build new features and products in a configurable way, helping to change banking for good
- Collaborate: Work in small, collaborative teams across the company to own and deliver projects
- Learn & Grow: Share your knowledge and stay curious and inquisitive, contributing to our learning culture
- Own It: Take ownership of your projects and apply yourself to a multitude of problems and challenges

What We're Looking For

- A recent university graduate or on track to graduate in summer 2026
- The ability to demonstrate that you can write quality code
- Proven experience working in a team
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Someone who is open to and values feedback to improve
- Eligible to work in the UK and ready to start a full-time position in September 2026
Our entire banking platform was built in-house, primarily using Java. As an engineer at Engine, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of modern languages and tools, including:
- Languages: Java, JS/TS, Swift, Kotlin
- Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, TeamCity, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Our interviews are a two-way conversation - it's as much about you getting to know us as it is about us getting to know you. We want you to be curious and ask questions!
- Step 1: One-way Video Screen: We'll send you a few questions to record your responses
- Step 2: Take-home Tech Test: If you're a good fit, you'll receive a tech test that you can solve in any language you are comfortable with
- Step 3: Technical Video Interview: A 1.5-hour video interview where we'll talk through your tech test
- Step 4: Final Interview: A final video interview with a couple of our senior members from Engineering
