Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Healthcare Data Analyst to join our remote U.S. team. In this role, you will support our mission by cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing healthcare data to help our clients make informed decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in SQL, healthcare data models, and data visualization within a supportive, mentoring environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean, validate, and process healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, EHR, clinical data) to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis.
  • Assist in creating reports and interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in health data.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and client teams to understand business needs and present findings.
  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes.
  • Adhere strictly to data security and patient privacy protocols, including HIPAA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational understanding of and experience with SQL through academic projects, internships, or coursework.
  • Proficiency with data visualization principles and tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic or intern experience working with healthcare data (e.g., ICD-10 codes, CPT codes, EHR data).
  • Familiarity with statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy standards, including HIPAA.
  • A portfolio of examples of academic projects demonstrating data analysis skills.
