- Processing XML and JSON message contracts
- Payment industry standards, ideally ISO 20022
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java 17 or 21 and modern development tools.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience in Java
- Proficient in Java 17 or 21, with solid knowledge of OOP and functional programming paradigms
- Strong understanding of XML, JSON, and related parsing/serialization techniques
- Comfortable working in IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code with AI code assist tools like GitHub Copilot
- Solid experience with Git/Bitbucket for source control
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar messaging middleware
- Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2), including query optimization and stored procedures
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, using tools like Jira
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience writing clear technical documentation
- Preferred Qualification
- Knowledge of Payments systems or financial services domain
- Familiarity with ISO 20022 payments messaging standards
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and testing frameworks
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices design
