Pay Range: $120,000 – $147,000/ year)
Work Type: Hybrid – Combination of remote and on-site work at Oakland Or San ramon
About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Program Manager, Expert – Lean Maturity & Waste Elimination to lead strategic IT programs and drive Agile and Lean transformation across the organization. This high-impact role requires an experienced leader who can manage complex technology initiatives, coach teams in Agile principles, and champion value delivery aligned with PG&E’s True North Strategy.
You’ll play a key role in enhancing PG&E’s IT operating model, fostering continuous improvement, and embedding Lean-Agile practices that strengthen delivery performance, collaboration, and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Coaching & Transformation
- Coach teams and leadership to adopt and mature Agile principles across IT.
- Facilitate Agile maturity assessments and create improvement roadmaps.
- Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Release Train Engineers in Agile delivery.
- Design and deliver Agile workshops, training, and Communities of Practice.
- Use Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, flow efficiency) to drive performance insights and improvements.
- Program & Portfolio Management
- Lead and coordinate multiple complex IT programs aligned with business strategy.
- Manage interdependencies, resources, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Drive strategic planning and execution with clear goals and KPIs.
- Implement Lean Portfolio Management to guide investment and prioritization decisions.
- Champion Value Management by ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business and customer value.
- Governance, Risk, and Communication
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively to ensure program resilience.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, risk logs, and compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Foster transparent stakeholder communication to ensure alignment and trust.
- Promote servant leadership, innovation, and a culture of psychological safety and collaboration.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience in Agile Coaching and Project/Program Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related discipline
- PMP Certification (PMI)
- SAFe Agilist and/or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management certifications
- Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Planisware
