Our challenge
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead our cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion while fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $102k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Apply Agile, Scrum, and project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and deliver projects aligned with business goals.
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Manage product and sprint backlogs, prioritize work, and utilize tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally to track progress and visual dashboards such as burndown charts.
- Identify and remove team impediments to ensure smooth progress and continuous delivery.
- Coordinate project activities, track progress, manage risks, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA teams, and Business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of requirements and expectations.
- Monitor team performance metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and capacity to drive improvements and optimize processes.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including status reports, risk logs, RAID logs, and change requests to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Proven experience 8+ years, excel as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and other project management frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Agile management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of project documentation standards and risk management processes.
- Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSPO), Agile (PMI-ACP), or similar is a plus.
- Experience working in complex or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical concepts.
