Responsibilities
• Lead and manage Oracle EBS R12.1.x and 12.2.x installations, upgrades, patching, and cloning, encompassing single-node and multi-node architectures.
• Spearhead the upgrade of Oracle EBS environments from Release 12.1.x to 12.2.x, including associated database upgrades (e.g., 11g to 12c or 19c).
• Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Oracle EBS R12.1.x and 12.2.x environments, addressing critical issues and ensuring high availability.
• Manage the full lifecycle of Oracle EBS applications, including patching, release management, and administration tasks.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in managing Oracle EBS on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including provisioning, migration (lift and shift), and lifecycle management.
• Utilize Oracle EBS Cloud Manager to provision, migrate, and perform lifecycle activities on EBS environments within OCI.
• Possess a deep understanding of Oracle EBS architecture, including database components (RAC, ASM), WebLogic Server administration, and high availability (HA) solutions.
• Develop and implement solutions for integrating Oracle EBS with other applications and systems, including on-premises and SaaS applications.
• Analyze legacy EBS environments, design migration strategies, and execute data migration activities with precision and expertise, potentially leveraging tools like FBDI, ADFDI, or Oracle Data Integrator.
• Collaborate with functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
• Conduct thorough testing, including performance, functional, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the upgraded or migrated system meets quality standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Oracle EBS environments, including upgrade procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Stay current with the latest Oracle EBS releases, updates, and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members on Oracle EBS administration and cloud best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
• 10-15 years of proven experience as an Oracle EBS Apps DBA or Technical Lead with a strong focus on installation, upgrade, and support of EBS Release 12.1.x and 12.2.x.
• Must have successfully completed at least one full lifecycle Oracle EBS R12.1.x to 12.2.x upgrade project, including related database upgrades.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle EBS on OCI, including provisioning, migration (Lift and Shift), and lifecycle management using Oracle EBS Cloud Manager.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database administration, including RAC, ASM, patching, cloning, and performance tuning for Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware components, including WebLogic Server administration for EBS applications.
• Experience in designing and implementing interfaces between Oracle EBS and other systems, including on-premises and Cloud applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet aggressive delivery timelines.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and OAF (Oracle Application Framework) is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
• Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications).
• Experience with other Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell or Python for automation.
• Knowledge of IAM, IDM, and SSO integration with Oracle EBS.
