Position Overview

Job Title: UI developer

Corporate Title: Vice President

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

The position requires strong UI development skills across multiple frameworks including React and Angular. The ideal candidate would also have a good understanding of modern UX design and the ability to work with our Product Owners and Users to create optimized, intuitive and aesthetically pleasing UI components. A thorough knowledge of stack integration and orchestration would also be highly desirable, particularly where Java/Oracle based. Knowledge of WPF and other older UI technologies would also be useful as our platforms have some legacy components that are still live.
We would also expect the successful candidate to be able to articulate their ideas clearly to the team and our stakeholders to speed up the UI development cycle. Additionally they would be expected to train the rest of the team in the design, development techniques, tools and best practice in terms of UI/UX.
Domain specific Financial Services experience is also highly desirable
This is a hands-on senior UI developer role and the successful candidate will become a key member of the Cross Product Tech team.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead UI development
Product Owner and User interaction, understanding the requirements, guiding the decision-making process and evangelizing best practices.
Adhering to and helping shape department and companywide standards for User Interfaces
Knowledge sharing and skilling up other team members
Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank.

Your Skills And Experience

Strong UI development skills in React and Angular
Deep understanding of associated frameworks
UX best practice and UX design concepts
Good communication skills – particularly in articulating UI/UX designs and workflows
Stakeholder communications and interactions
WPF / Legacy UI technology skills
Java / Oracle experience
Domain specific Financial Services experience is also highly desirable
