Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and environment management
  • Collaborate with development, data, and security teams to ensure efficient and secure infrastructure delivery
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring

  • Monitor systems for performance and reliability issues, resolving incidents quickly and efficiently
  • Advocate for DevOps best practices and continuous improvement within the team

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally within a mid-to-large scale cloud environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Solid experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
  • Familiarity with containerisation tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes a plus)
  • Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK)
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Location & Flexibility:

This is a remote-first contract role, with a requirement to attend meetings in York 1–2 times per month.
