Our client in Zurich is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join their innovative tech team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-performance, user-friendly web apps
- Collaborate with designers and frontend engineers to implement UI/UX
- Integrate APIs and backend services
- Write clean, reusable code and participate in code reviews
- Contribute to improving development practices
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong Python skills; experience with other backend languages (e.g., Java, C#)
- Experience with Google App Engine (GAE)
- Familiar with RESTful APIs or GraphQL
- Proficient in Git and debugging/problem-solving
Nice to Have
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
- Exposure to Android for Automotive (AAOS)
- Familiar with GCP and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Sentry)
- Experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile teams
