About BFJ Digital

We’re a full-service digital agency in Brisbane, specialising in Digital Marketing, Transformation, and eCommerce. Our dev team builds high-performing WordPress, Shopify, Hubspot, and Payload websites that integrate with CRMs.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and technically strong Full Stack Website Developer to join our Brisbane team. You’ll help build and optimise custom sites across WordPress, Shopify, Hubspot, and Payload — and learn to deliver API-driven, headless builds as part of your growth path.

Headless experience is a bonus. API ability is mandatory.

What You’ll Do

  • Build custom WordPress / Hubspot sites (Gutenberg / ACF / Bootstrap)
  • Work on Shopify builds and integrations
  • Create and connect APIs (CRMs, booking portals, custom endpoints)
  • Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams
  • Research and apply new web tech, including AI and headless frameworks

Your Skills

  • 1–2+ years of experience in custom web builds
  • Strong HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (Vue/Nuxt/Angular/React)
  • Understanding of SEO and Lighthouse performance
  • Front-end attention to detail
  • Shopify experience a plus
  • Headless / Payload / Next.js interest highly valued

Perks & Culture

  • Flexible hours
  • Modern office (Spring Hill) — dogs, music, free team events
  • Role is in the office
  • Birthday leave + mental health “no reason” day
  • Supportive, collaborative, no-ego culture
  • Learn and grow with AI, automation, and headless tech
  • Only the best humans make it into BFJ, please be a good human :).

“We’re looking for developers who think commercially, creatively, and collaboratively,” says Ben Henzell, Founder and Director. “At BFJ, you’ll build real systems that connect marketing, data, and technology in meaningful ways.”
