Our team of experts in microfluidics, bioinformatics, and clinical oncology is committed to revolutionizing cancer therapy by identifying the best treatment options for patients.
Role Description
We are hiring a Junior Bioinformatician to join our Bioinformatic team for the development of a Software as Medical Device (SaMD) as part of our regulated IVD platform. You will work closely with our bioinformatic, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams in data exploration efforts to identify optimal therapy options, all in accordance with ISO 13485, IEC 62304 and ISO 15189.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Implement fastq generation from base calling data
- Carry out quality assessment of RNA-Seq data
- Perform RNA-Seq data analysis to assess different experimental protocols, and for analytical performance of the SaMD
- Perform RNA-Seq data analysis to assess drug sensitivity
- Build and modify models for drug sensitivity prediction
- Participate in the pipeline development of the SaMD
- Ensure results are reported within clinical time frame
- Write technical documentation for regulatory requirements
- Manage cloud database
Qualifications – must have
- Minimum Master Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field, or equivalent relevant working experience
- At least 2 years working on RNA-Seq data
- At least 1 year working experience with Python and Bash scripting within Linux-based cloud environments
- At least 1 years of experience in workflow management systems (Snakemake, Nextflow)
- Knowledgeable in database development (e.g. SQL)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications – nice to have
- Experience working with cancer cell lines or cancer samples
- Experience in the medical device industry or in a medical laboratory (ISO 13485, ISO 15189, and IEC 62304)
