Our client is a National contractor that has 4 separate divisions. One of their divisions, the construction, minor works department services a range of clients from retail to agecare to many more. Their VIC business is about to go through a real growth phase and are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager with a specific background in fitout,refurb and minor works. With 250 staff nationally they have a huge client base. Their business does more than just construction, offering FM services, Project Management and all trades. Having acquired a number of companies over the last few years they are going from strength to strength, but VIC is where the opportunity is to come in a carve a career for yourself. With 23 PM's in NSW, 2 in VIC, this is your opportunity to grow with the state.


Your new role

As one of the 2 Project Managers in Melbourne you will oversee and manage multiple projects, including refurbishment of aged care and retirement living facilities, retail fitouts and commercial properties infrastructure upgrade projects across Melbourne. This role includes managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) programs to ensure the effective planning, renovation, and restructuring of aged care and retirement properties.
You will be responsible for leading teams, managing project resources, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining strong client relationships. Capable of running projects from $50k- $10m, albeit most projects initially up to $2m


What you'll need to succeed- as per client's request

  • Around 10-15 years experience
  • Proven experience in construction project management, with a strong background in retail shops, aged care and/or retirement living refurbishments ideally
  • Experience managing CAPEX programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within set timelines and budgets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in preparing and managing quotes.
  • A trade background is preferred.
  • Based in SE Melbourne , Dandenong area
  • Proficiency in using MS Projects, Pronto, Procore, Rapid Induct, Cubit, Sharepoint software for job management.
  • Construction White Card
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid working right Australia
  • Ability to obtain police clearance
  • Covid vaccinated and willing to get flu vaccination annually
