We turn raw biosignals into clinical insight. Our team led by Univ. Prof. Dr. Axel Bauer studies how the autonomic nervous system shapes cardiovascular function and transforms high frequency sensor data into markers that improve care for cardiac patients, including risk prediction for sudden cardiac death and early detection of atrial fibrillation.


We are expanding our engineering power and are looking for a motivated


Scientific Engineer 


to drive projects in signal processing, machine learning and app development within the multidisciplinary team.


Your core responsibilities:

-      Design and implement algorithms for digital signal processing

-      Build robust software components including server-side applications and data pipelines

-      Provide hands on technical support for physicians and study nurses

-      Select, commission and maintain electronic devices such as smartphones and high-fidelity signal recorders


Must haves:

-      Bachelor’s degree or higher in natural sciences

-      Good programming skills in Python

-      Willingness to support the team & strong motivation to learn

-      Solid knowledge of digital signal processing including filtering, feature extraction and time and frequency domain analysis

-      Strong interest in artificial intelligence/LLMs or readiness to acquire these skills

-      Team mindset, willingness to help and high motivation to learn

-      German and English language skills


Nice to haves:

-      Experience developing mobile apps Android or iOS

-      Experience with hospital information systems

-      Experience with R
