Senior Project Manager – BESS Development (Germany)

Location: Munich (twice per month minimum)

My client is seeking a strategic Senior Project Manager / Project Developer to take ownership of the late-stage development of large-scale BESS projects across Germany. This is a pivotal role driving projects through financial close, managing bank financing, leading contract negotiations, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver commercially and technically successful assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects through the late-development phase to financial close.
• Manage due diligence, permitting, grid connection, and financing processes.
• Negotiate key commercial contracts.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across technical, legal, and financial streams.
• Represent the company with lenders, partners, and regulatory bodies.

Profile:

• Proven experience delivering renewable or storage projects to financial close in Germany.
• Strong understanding of project finance, grid regulations, and permitting.
