We're looking for a highly motivated professional to support the Group Data Protection Officer in overseeing compliance with GDPR, local data protection laws, and group-wide standards across multiple jurisdictions. The role involves close cooperation with local DPO's, subsidiaries, and business units to ensure consistent, effective, and compliant data protection practices throughout the Eleving Group.
What you'll own:
- Support the Group DPO in supervising local subsidiaries and their DPOs
- Oversee and review various privacy assessments, including DPIAs
- Maintain and improve group-wide data protection policies and procedures.
- Deliver trainings and raise awareness on data protection matters
- Monitor compliance with group standards and national legislation
- Cooperate with management, local DPOs, regulators, and service providers in respect to data protection and privacy
- Stay up to date with legal developments and contribute to group-level projects
What you'll bring:
- Higher legal education (degree in Law)
- DPO certification (preferably CIPP/E) and at least 2 years of experience in data protection compliance (experience in multinational or regulated businesses is an advantage)
- Excellent command of English and Latvian (both written and spoken)
- Analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities, manage deadlines and supervise privacy-related projects
Bonus points for:
- Experience in customer-focused, finance and regulated industries (in-house or external counsel) will be considered a strong advantage
