👉 Fixed salary: €40,000 gross/year (please apply only if you are comfortable with this).

OK, but what is a Backend Engineer about?

Our Backend Engineer will be part of an international team. Making things happen across the Tech department.

You will show passion for solving tough problems with simple code. And you will work with teams that ship quality over quantity.

Our core technologies are Node.js, Typescript and PostgreSQL running on AWS.

More specifically, some of the key tasks are:

• Collaborating with other developers and designers
• Actively seeking out hard problems to solve, and designing technical roadmaps to solve them
• Bringing context and learnings back to a team from other projects and helping on technically challenging decisions
• Using test-driven development to write well-tested code

🧩 Requirements

• Educational Background: Hold a degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent experience
• Language Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Mindset: Exhibit an objective-oriented mindset, focusing on results and impactful contributions
• Technical Proficiency: Possess proficiency in the JS/TS ecosystem. At least 2 years of production experience
• Cloud Expertise: Bring experience with cloud-native solutions and infrastructure on cloud platforms, with a preference for familiarity with AWS and Terraform

• Round 2 - Technical round - No previous preparation required, simple live-coding exercise, where you will also do a live-brainstorm and Ben will challenge the way your decision-making to replicate a real-life working environment - Dima - 60 mins
