Salary: 120 - 130 PLN/h net/B2B

Location: Remote within Poland

Project: Development and maintenance of a key part of the platform for security management and access control in critical infrastructure sectors.

Key Technologies:

• Backend: Java 17 (Core Java), Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
• APIs: REST API design & integration
• Databases: MS SQL, Oracle
• Nice-to-have: OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL, Hibernate, NoSQL
• Other Tools: Git, JUnit, Mockito

Project Overview:

Join our Rite NRG team as a Java Developer and contribute to the core modules of a security & access control system. You’ll build robust service layers over complex legacy systems, expose new capabilities via modern APIs, and continuously deliver features used by Germany’s largest state-owned enterprises across critical infrastructure sectors (healthcare, nuclear energy, airports, military).

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and extend complex legacy Java codebases; build a clean API layer on top of existing functionality.
• Design, implement, and document RESTful (and where relevant GraphQL) APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Develop new services and modernize existing modules with Spring (Boot/MVC/Data/Security).
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code; participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and production bugs.
• Collaborate closely with Frontend, QA, and Product to refine requirements and technical solutions.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Java development experience, Java-based web applications, preferably using the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data)
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English (min. C1) and Polish.

Nice to have:

• GraphQL API experience (designing and consuming)
• Experience defining and documenting APIs using the OpenAPI Specification (Swagger)
• Experience with Hibernate, Tomcat, or NoSQL technologies.
