We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the KUFOTAL of our university who meets the following criteria:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • MS degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with MATLAB, Python, or C++. C#


Job Description

  • Responsible for research, development, and “Proof of Concept” Demonstration/simulations of Autonomous and Connected Car applications, vehicle/infrastructure integrations, and functionalities,
  • Develop cloud based connected vehicle applications,
  • Develop web application front-end / user interfaces,
  • Take part in the definition of system / software architecture,
  • Define, analyse and validate requirements in terms of technical feasibility, risks, and testability,
  • Write, manage, and maintain development use-cases,
  • Design and execute test plans on simulation, laboratory, and test vehicles,
  • Execute simulations for evaluating the suitability of connectivity technologies for automotive environments,
  • Create intellectual property, publish research papers and technical reports at high-ranked scientific conferences,
  • Contribute to other research projects across KUFOTAL as a vehicular connectivity Researcher, Engineer/ System Developer subject matter expert, helping to identify and address essential Vehicular Connectivity aspects of various projects.

Requirements

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages, e.g. Python, C, C++, C#, etc.
  • 3+ years of work and/or academic experience with communication/network technologies
  • Experience with API (Application Programming Interface) ,
  • A solid understanding of network communication technologies - Internet, VPN, TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6,
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS , Google Cloud, Oracle.)
  • Familiarity with Robotic Operating System (ROS)
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, real-time systems, embedded systems, and cyber-physical systems
  • Familiarity with automotive systems and networks such as CAN, Ethernet,
  • Accuracy, quality-oriented, “can do” attitude,
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and handle varying workloads,
  • Enthusiasm and passion to develop connected and autonomous cars,
  • Must be fully confident of writing/maintaining code,

    Knowledge in The Following is a Plus

    • Industrial experience in embedded hardware and software development.
    • Familiarity with Agile processes
    • Vehicle Electrical/Electronic Architecture
