Description:
We are migrating an internally built solution from a hybrid setup based on Docker Swarm (for application servers) and RHEL virtual machines on VMware (for automation) to OpenShift with hosted infrastructure. At the same time, we are transitioning from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES). The role involves leading and executing this migration process — including transferring existing environments, rewriting CI/CD pipelines, securing the new setup, and implementing monitoring and observability solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate existing environments from Docker Swarm and RHEL VMs to OpenShift.
- Redesign and implement CI/CD pipelines in GHES (GitHub Actions).
- Ensure secure configuration and operation of the new environment.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
- Collaborate with internal development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth migration and minimal downtime.
- Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code improvements.
Requirements (must have):
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with OpenShift.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise (GHES) and GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and migration between systems.
- Good understanding of infrastructure security and monitoring practices.
