Role Overview
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Lead to turn Rahal’s data into decisions that support growth, efficiency, and exceptional traveler experiences.
You’ll be responsible for building and scaling our BI function from the ground up, connecting data sources, creating single sources of truth, and translating raw data into actionable insights for leadership, marketing, product, engineering, operations and commercial teams.
This is a hands-on role for a builder, someone who can design frameworks, take the lead on executing them, and make complex data accessible to everyone.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Infrastructure
- Own Rahal’s end-to-end BI strategy, from data collection and modeling to visualization and storytelling.
- Design and maintain scalable dashboards and automated reporting systems across growth, product, CX, and operations.
- Partner with engineering to ensure robust data pipelines, integrations, and governance frameworks.
- Build and maintain a “Rahal Single Source of Truth”, ensuring metrics are consistent, trusted, and actionable.
- Lead analytical deep dives into traveler behavior, campaign performance, funnel conversion, and partner economics.
- Translate insights into strategic recommendations that inform product roadmaps, marketing spend, and business priorities.
- Establish key metrics (KPIs, leading and lagging indicators) and track them through Rahal’s Quarterly OKRs.
- Proactively identify growth opportunities and operational inefficiencies through data storytelling.
- Work closely with the CEO and department heads to define data-driven success metrics for every function.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Marketers to run A/B tests, experiments, and post-launch performance reviews.
- Translate technical insights into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders, prioritizing clarity over complexity.
- Experience: 4+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Science roles (with at least 2 years in cross-functional capacity)
- Industry: Prior experience in travel-tech, marketplace, or consumer-tech environments strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- SQL mastery and experience with relational databases.
- Proficiency in BI tools or customer data pools such as Metabase, Rudderstack, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data modeling, and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization abilities.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to define frameworks, segment cohorts, and measure business impact through advanced analytics.
- Communication: Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, able to influence decisions with clarity and data integrity.
