Responsibilities

• Implement efficient patterns to call dependent services, leverage a distributed cache like Redis.
• Implement high availability, resiliency patterns like Circuit Breaker, Retry, Fallback, Bulkhead Isolation, Throttling among others.
• Own and operate services of massive scale.
• Reuse existing open-source libraries and build new libraries of services and best practices for other teams to leverage. 
• Perform live site/dev ops engineering for services with top notch monitoring, dashboards, and troubleshooting guides.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of C# and .NET software development experience
  

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science
• OR related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• Experience with LLM application development
• Experience with cloud computing / Azure / AWS / GCP / Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Lean Methodology
  

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $114,400 - CAD $203,900 per year.
