Role Overview

As a Reservations Agent, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional reservation services to all guests, ensuring a seamless booking process and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction. As part of our team in The Chedi Muscat, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, providing support to both guests and colleagues through outstanding communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle reservation calls, emails, and other requests with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Input, access, and maintain guest reservation information in the system effectively.
  • Provide detailed information about accommodations, promotions, and hotel services to prospective guests.
  • Follow established reservation procedures, payment policies, and no-show or cancellation guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates, current availability, and upcoming promotions.
  • Work closely with Front Office, Sales, and other departments to support guest needs.
  • Manage guest queries and resolve any issues in a timely, courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems electronically and on paper as required.

Must Have Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous hotel-related experience desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Excellent computer and typing skills are required. Excel and Word proficiency desired.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills required.

  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and commitments, and complete tasks and projects as required.
  • Strong organisational skills required to maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge pertaining to policy and procedure and communicate knowledge effectively to all personnel when applicable.
  • Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, technicians, management, and team members as well as producing reports.
  • Excellent PC skills (including MS Office).
