About Team
Digital Pharmacy team is responsible for bringing the pharmacy at Walmart to the digital and mobile customers. We have upgraded the apps and the Walmart website to allow customers to fill prescriptions via the app before they visit the store, check the status of the orders and make payments right through the app. Working with pharmacy data gives us unique sets of challenges in terms of meeting compliances and regulations with respect to the sensitive data. Walmart is investing heavily in enhancing the capabilities within pharmacy and providing a more holistic experience to the customer. This provides a unique opportunity at Walmart Labs to build the technology required for the next gen pharmacy.

As a Software Engineer III iOS Developer you would be responsible for:

What You'll Do
As a Software Engineer III iOS Developer you would be responsible for:
- Working with peers in building and maintaining the Walmart iOS app or the sub modules. The Walmart iOS app had over 2.5 million daily active users and over 10 million in downloads. This provides the unique challenge of building to scale.
- Collaborate with peers and work with Architects to design and develop and co-own the feature delivery.
- Instrument and trace bugs and performance gaps for the app. Identify and build tools and libraries to help in the process.
- Build POCs to develop and showcase platform specific capabilities to merge with Walmart use cases.
- Providing, unique to Walmart, Omni Experience to the customers. Providing the capability for the customers to start a process on the app digitally and resuming it after at the store physically.
- 3+ years as an iOS Developer with deep understanding of iOS UX and UI design paradigms, and ability to implement and design iOS apps.
- Experience in Swift is a must.
- Good understanding of Basic Data Structures and ability to come up with complete algorithm and code for problems. Ability to derive time complexities of algorithms.
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
- Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
- An Object Oriented philosopher with experience understanding and applying OO design patterns.
- Experience integrating iOS apps with RESTful APIs.
- Desire to work in a fast paced, agile, collaborative environment.
