About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer / UI Designer to join our esteemed insurance client on an initial 6-month contract. This role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to London approximately once every few months. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering end-to-end user experiences for a new insurance programme. Your expertise in UX design, Figma, and accessibility standards will be essential to ensure the creation of intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital solutions that meet both user needs and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance or financial services, enabling a seamless understanding of the industry-specific requirements and compliance standards. This position offers a competitive daily rate of 450-550 GBP inside IR35, working via an umbrella company. Candidates must be based in the UK to be eligible for this opportunity.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in UX design and UI development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous work in insurance or financial services sectors.
- Proficiency in Figma for designing wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end UX design processes, including user research, journey mapping, wireframing, and usability testing.
- Knowledge of global accessibility standards (such as WCAG) to ensure inclusive design practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Lead the design of user experiences from concept through to implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups using Figma, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and users.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine designs accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to deliver seamless digital solutions.
- Ensure all designs adhere to global accessibility standards, promoting inclusivity and usability for diverse user groups.
- Maintain consistency across the user interface, establishing design guidelines and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design to continuously enhance the quality of deliverables.
