What’s the role?
Join one of Australia’s largest banks as a Software Engineering Specialist, contributing to innovative software solutions within the Business Lending domain. You’ll work on customer servicing and originations platforms using technologies like .NET, JavaScript, REST/SOAP services, and agile practices. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking engineering team driving impactful projects across online and staff-facing channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, reusable software solutions for critical business applications.
- Prepare and maintain functional and technical specifications and detailed design documents.
- Apply Group development standards and Design Thinking principles to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions.
- Conduct unit testing and ensure code quality, security and compliance.
- Use Agile methodologies to deliver incremental value and maintain consistent, maintainable code.
- Mentor developers and contribute to a collaborative, innovative team environment
- At least 5 years’ experience in ASP.NET/C#, HTML5/CSS, T-SQL, and Git.
- Strong understanding of OOP and entity relationship management.
- Familiarity with design patterns and RDBMS (minimum 1 year).
- Experience designing database objects (tables, indexes, constraints).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and application support.
