The ICT Category Management and Sourcing (ICTCMS) team, within Data and Digital Government in the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), provides strategic and policy leadership for the Queensland Government in the areas of digital, customer experience and government service delivery. The team plays a critical role in advancing ICT procurement reform, establishing whole-of-government contracts, and fostering beneficial partnerships with agency customers and industry stakeholders.

In this role, you will lead and manage specialised teams within ICT strategic sourcing and procurement functions, including procuring and contracting, framework liaison and administration, panel establishment, contract negotiation, and strategic contract management.

You will also provide subject matter expertise, governance, and leadership to ensure best practice procurement and contract management methodologies are applied, delivering value and benefits that align with government priorities.

As the Director, ICT Category Management and Sourcing, you will:

  • Oversee the administration and management of selected strategic procurement activities and contracts, within the ICT Contracting and Procurement framework.
  • Lead a team of specialists in the establishment and ongoing success of WoG ICT Category Management practices and procurement activities.
  • Lead a team responsible for performing and reporting on market analysis and government spend for ICT Products and Services.
  • Lead and guide team members across market activities for WoG ICT procurement and contracts.
  • Oversee the establishment of WoG Standing Offer Arrangements (SOA), supply panels, core and common arrangements and contracts.
  • Represent the interests of CDSB across government, public sector wide committees and networks relating to panel and supply arrangements, SOA's, category management, risk management, and procurement and policy matters.
  • Stakeholder engagement across WoG and procurement networks where required and proactive planning of market activities.
  • Engage with ICT industry and supplier representatives to promote and further the Government's ICT agenda.
  • Build the capability of the team by developing the knowledge and skills of staff members and key stakeholders to increase the level of professionalism, and to maximise the realisation of benefits of ICT supply.
  • Lead staff through a period of renewal and change, ensuring effective change management and engagement.
