The Role

This role is to manage the Security Operations of Crown Perth and the ability to efficiently resource up to 180 security officers and provide subject matter expertise for high-risk events and visitors within the site. This includes stakeholder relations with law enforcement and private security contractors. You will also be responsible in ensuring emergency planning and response remains strictly aligned to the Crown Resorts Emergency Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Impact positively to ensure the balance of security, guest experience and community confidence when delivering high-risk events that require security risk assessments, emergency services response needs, security and cross department supervisory briefings.
  • Share knowledge across departments to positively influence all team members in understanding and following security and emergency policy, processes and practices to enhance the Crown Perth protective security framework.
  • Lead recruitment activities for new Security Officers and provide advice to the workforce planner to schedule optimal staff numbers based on events, expected crowd numbers, skills and experience mix and supervisory needs.
  • Ensure innovative and fit for purpose security incident and emergency response plans based on the security risk profile for the entire complex are maintained.
  • Develop, understand and influence a positive working relationship with security team members and DLGSCI Inspectors and Police to ensure appropriate responses and reporting for potential casino Control Act and other criminal legislative risks and incidents.
  • Deliver enhanced guest experience strategies across the security teams that contribute towards the Crown Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies and procedures in relation to Casino Control Act, Liquor Control Act, Criminal Investigations Act, Responsible Service of Gaming (including training), and the Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct.

About you

  • Experience in taking a leadership role in emergency response and management and dealing with potentially volatile situations.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Security Operations
  • Extensive experience with rostering 160+ staff over a 24/7 requirement in large organisations.
  • Experience in delivering corporate security requirements within a highly regulated environment.
  • Proven experience in Security Operational Management.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding with financial reports and statistics.
