- Perform both functional and non-functional testing (e.g. load/stress, interoperability, voice quality) of voice services.
- Use voice protocols such as SIP, RTP, H.323, and others relevant in the Ribbon / Nokia portfolio.
- Configure and operate test tools, analyzers, probes, test harnesses. Monitor voice quality metrics (MOS, jitter, latency, packet loss).
- Validate new firmware/software releases and patches. Ensure backward compatibility and regression testing.
- Troubleshoot issues in lab/test environments; collaborate with development, network operations, and support teams to isolate and fix defects.
- Document test plans, test cases, and detailed defect reports. Maintain accurate records of testing results.

- Experience with Ribbon / Sonus / ALU / Nokia voice platforms — SBCs, PABXs, media gateways
- Strong knowledge of voice protocols (SIP, RTP, codec behavior, etc.), voice signalling and transport.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment: signal/protocol analyzers, probes, test harnesses.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals: LAN/WAN, QoS, jitter/latency, etc.
- Proven defect tracking, root-cause analysis and debugging skills.
- Experience with automation of test cases is a plus (e.g. scripting, test frameworks).
- Excellent communication skills—able to write clear test plans and reports, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in lab/test environment set-ups and hands-on lab debugging.
- Familiarity with voice quality metrics and emulation of network impairments (packet loss, latency, jitter etc.).
- Experience with Ribbon PSX, GSC, or equivalent in the Nokia/ALU portfolio.
- Knowledge of customer-facing deployments (field issues, troubleshooting live voice traffic).
- Exposure to continuous integration / test automation tools.
