Network Engineer

Location negotiable across NSW (subject to campus availability)

Temporary full-time until 30 June 2026

$145,605 package includes base salary ($128,284- $141,600) per annum plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing a large program of network installations, as well as monitoring and maintaining the organisations Digital Solutions Group network and transitioning to new network hardware and software, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems, as necessary.


About You

As a key member of the project team, you will provide engineering and design support and leadership for the project team and team members and champion the strategy, roadmap, and architecture across the campus network. We are seeking a capable and energetic IT professional to join our team where you will apply your industry knowledge to secure, innovate, and build strategies that will foster and facilitate the exciting network transformation program involving new Wi-fi and Switching and a change or network topologies to enrich and improve our services to our TAFE NSW staff and students.


Highly Regarded

  • Experience configuring and supporting Enterprise Wi-Fi like Aruba or Juniper, HPE/Juniper Switching, Fortinet SD-WAN and network engineering support for Cloud i.e. AWS, Azure and OCI
  • Experience managing enterprise Firewalls and Load balancers as FTDs and NetScaler and VPN
  • Experience in development and support for network macro segmentation
  • Experience in development and support for IaaS/PaaS and SaaS cloud networking
  • Experienced SME in Routing and Switching
  • Proven ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment with competing demands across IT Operations and project management activities.
