IGroup Consulting is an IT Consulting Systems Integration firm that delivers comprehensive IT services to leading clients in Australia. They a full IT solutions provider that offers a range of expertise targeting the Financial Services, Communications, Retail, High-Technology and Government and Educational Sector industries through Australia.
They now seek an experienced Computer Network and System Engineer to join the team in Epping, Victoria.
The Role
This is a full time role with an annual salary set between $85,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, and will be based in Epping, Victoria.
The Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing, design & implement the company's core network and do the maintenance timely basis.
- Analyze & decide the all-IT infrastructure needs considering future enhancement and implementation.
- Design & implement Active Directory Server, deploy group policies and connect all users to the Domain Controller.
- Assessing the operational network and give recommendations to improve hardware, software and operating systems.
- Manage Azure Active Directory with on-prem Active Directory as a hybrid cloud model.
- Responsible to manage the company's public cloud platform (Microsoft Office 365) with Online Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure.
- Responsible to design and implement Fortinet firewall, security profiles, firewall security policies, DDoS policies, VPN policies, IPS policies and ensure core network security.
- Responsible to manage VoIP-hosted phone system, CCTV camera system, employee's identification cards that have been integrated with building security system.
- Responsible to provide recommendations, specialist knowledge, and system security measures to the software development team to ensure system security.
- Monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity, and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance communicating, educating, and liaising with users and management to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, procedures, and quality control issues and activities.
- Responsible to make a procedure to keep records of all IT equipment & network inventory.
- Responsible to manage and maintain policies & procedures of ISO 27001:2013 Information Security standard, conduct awareness sessions for users, conduct an internal audit and ensure to stick with ISO standards.
- Design & implement computer network systems and IT solutions for the clients according to their business needs.
- Provide all the IT & network support to existing clients and ensure their business continuity.
- Analyze and suggest further network enhancements and implement them to the existing clients and ensure their network performance at the optimal level.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining network scripts and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell) to support business and operational requirements.
- Must have a Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Networking, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' relevant professional experience in a corporate IT environment.
- Hands-on experience to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and controllers.
- Must have an experience in configuring and managing Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid Azure AD), Group Policies, and enterprise authentication systems.
- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
- Strong background in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Must have over 2 year's experience with firewall security policies, VPNs, IPS/IDS, wireless access points, routers, switches, controllers and DDoS protection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work to deadlines under pressure.
- Minimum 2year experience in SDS monitor or MPS monitor solutions.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
