Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Monitoring the application of security policies.
- Regular technical evaluation of IT system statuses.
- Effective intervention in crisis situations, including organized attacks, network intrusions, and virus detection.
- Developing scenarios for responding effectively to various security threats.
- Advising on necessary technical solutions for securing connections to external partners and networks.
- Identifying security vulnerabilities within Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android environments.
- Providing technical solutions to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
- Conducting risk analysis for the various IT systems supported by the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A degree in Computer Science or Electronics.
- A proven track record of at least 5 years in a similar position.
- Hands-on experience of at least 5 years with Palo Alto Firewalls; knowledge of Panorama is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with VPN solutions and web proxy management is required.
- At least 10 years of successful work with BIG IP F5 is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, and SNMP technologies.
- Familiarity with stateful packet inspection firewalls and application firewalls, with a preference for Palo Alto.
- Experience with endpoint protection products and content inspection engines for email systems and web browsing.
- An understanding of Microsoft Windows and Enterprise Linux server environments.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, as well as a proactive and adaptable working style. Other key attributes include:
- Self-initiative and the ability to work methodically and precisely.
- Team-oriented approach with a strong customer focus.
- A bilingual capability in Dutch and French, or at minimum, sufficient knowledge of one of the national languages to participate effectively in specialist meetings, coupled with a strong command of technical English.
