Software Developer (Tampere, Helsinki)

Our work matters - Elisa Viihde is a widely known and popular Finnish entertainment service. It is available through TV boxes, Smart TV, web and mobile.

We are looking for a software developer with a product development mindset

We seek an experienced Software Developer with a few years of relevant experience and strong programming skills in building consumer solutions across various platforms. You will join our agile Viihde development team, collaborating with other teams, business units, and stakeholders within Elisa’s Digital Services Unit. Fluency in English is required for work and documentation.

Our Elisa Viihde R&D team is transitioning from on-premises to cloud services, maintaining existing solutions, and developing next-generation GenAI/Agentic capabilities. Daily tasks involve metadata management and data migration, using modern tools and DevOps practices.

What We Expect From You

• Strong motivation to succeed together with the team and a sense of responsibility
• Experience of software engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and code reviews
• Ability to work in an agile environment and genuine interest in programming
• Hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven experience of developing on cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud with Golang)
• CI/CD pipelines & technologies (e.g. Github Actions)
• Proven skills in Node.js and/or Java
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  
  

Additional Advantages For The Job

• Practical experience through project(s) in backend and product feature development, with a focus on building reliable, scalable systems is seen as advantage
• Experience of building ETL pipelines
• Interest in TV and entertainment services, and/or experience in developing solutions for TV and entertainment services!
