Technical Expert – DevOps (Git)

Job Description
- Adhering to SLAs
- Awareness and adherence to ITIL processes
- Mentoring / training DevOps team members
- Handling version control issues and requests
- Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Defining and enforcing Git branching strategies and workflows
- Managing Git repositories and access controls
- Ensuring high availability and performance of version control systems
- Supporting CI/CD integration with Git
- Designing and validating backup and recovery strategies
- Driving automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA compliance
- Planning and executing patching and upgrade strategies
- Conducting audits and compliance checks
- Identifying skill gaps and planning training sessions
- Supporting cloud migration and DevOps toolchain integration
- Reporting and analysis of version control metrics
- Coordinating with vendors and tool providers
Technical Requirements
Primary Requirements:
Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda), Azure (VMs, Monitor, Logic Apps), GCP
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates
Automation & Configuration Management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Bash, PowerShell
Monitoring & Logging: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS),
Helm Security & Compliance: IAM, RBAC, VPCs, NACLs, encryption, HIPAA/GDPR compliance
DevOps Practices: Incident management, root cause analysis, postmortems, SRE culture c
Scripting: Python, Shell scripting, Go (basic)
Cost Management: Right-sizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, cost reporting
Additional Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Git and Git-based workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Experience with Git branching strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based development)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Ansible
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Scripting in Shell, Python, or Bash
- Experience with artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory)
- Knowledge of security and compliance in version control
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
Python Skillsets:
- Must have good hands-on in python coding, handling complex scenarios and writing optimized code.
- Must have in-depth understanding of Oops concepts.
- Good to have hands experience on Flask or Django.
- Good knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle etc.)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and tools like Jenkins, Jira, GIT etc.
- Good to have knowledge of any cloud base servers (AWS/Azure etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting.
