Responsibilities

• Write and review code, and deploy systems that support the business
• Participate in application design and architecture reviews
• Engage in an agile, iterative software development process
• Collaborate closely with business, product and engineering stakeholders
• Break down complex problems into simple, creative, and effective solutions
• Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability
• Provide support for the platform

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science)

Required Skills

• Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (Python or Java) with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data applications
• Experience designing, delivering, and securing data-rich web applications in relevant web programming frameworks (e.g. React).
• Familiarity with databases and data pipelines
• Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders
• Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional programming languages and frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud services and deployment strategies
