About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at TRACT, you'll play a key role in building the user-facing components of our sustainability insights platform. From designing and developing intuitive and responsive interfaces to improving performance and accessibility, you’ll own the delivery of elegant, scalable frontend solutions that make complex sustainability data actionable.

Working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you’ll translate user needs and business requirements into impactful UI features — empowering organizations across the food and agriculture industry to drive real-world change through better data.

This is a hands-on role where your work directly enables a more sustainable future.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React framework
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver accessible, intuitive user experiences across web and mobile platforms
• Implement efficient state management, reusable UI components, and clean architecture patterns
• Drive frontend performance optimization, responsiveness, and scalability
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver seamless end-to-end functionality
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape best practices across the frontend team

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of frontend development experience, ideally in a fast-paced, product-focused environment
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with deep knowledge of React (or similar frameworks like Vue)
• Experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries
• A strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience with modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, testing frameworks like Jest/Testing Library)
• Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (GCP preferred) and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
