Job Description

As a Product Manager, you will own key features and components of the Grounding API, collaborating closely with engineering and partner teams. You will help define product requirements, prioritize scenarios, and ensure successful delivery of capabilities that enable grounding across diverse AI workloads.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and drive product requirements for the Grounding API, ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s Responsible AI principles and product goals.
• Define and prioritize product features across workstreams Partner with engineering, cross dependency stakeholders and team as well as first party partners to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant API capabilities.
• Collaborate with partner teams across Microsoft (e.g., Azure, MAI, M365) to understand grounding needs and integrate the API into their workflows.
• Analyze usage data, gather customer feedback, and system performance to inform roadmap decisions and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to documentation, developer onboarding, and internal evangelism to drive adoption of the Grounding API.
• Maintain: Azure DevOps Work items and backlog
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or software engineering.
• Strong technical acumen and ability to work closely with engineering and partners
• Experience working on APIs, developer platforms, and/or AI infrastructure.
• Deep user empathy and curiosity—comfortable engaging with customers, interpreting feedback, and synthesizing insights
• Ability to frame ambiguous problems and guide teams toward impactful, elegant solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  
  

Preferred

• Familiarity with grounding, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or large language model (LLM) systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Passion for building trustworthy and responsible AI systems.

• Workplace type: Hybrid or remote in Portugal. This position is based in Portugal.
