Data Scientist

Portugal (Remote) | B2B Contract

I’m currently working with a global consulting firm that’s looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join their team. You’ll play a key role in driving insights and strategy across product teams, utilising data to inform decision-making, measure impact, and identify growth opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop a deep understanding of product experiences and growth opportunities
• Contribute to product roadmaps and define success metrics
• Lead cross-functional reviews to measure progress toward key goals
• Design and analyse experiments (A/B testing) to measure feature impact
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
• Use data-driven insights to support product launches and strategic decisions

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of commercial experience using data science and analytics to drive business decisions
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with R, AWS Athena, or similar analytical tools
• Strong data visualisation skills using Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire
• Experience with A/B testing and analysing user engagement data
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint proficiency ideal)
• Expertise in predictive modelling (e.g. logit/probit, random forest, neural net)
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques such as clustering or ensemble models
• Fluent English communication skills
