The SCM Solution Design Manager: Logistics W&D Own Warehouse is the business representative in the Logistics, W&D work stream and responsible to design, build and deploy the global SC Logistics W&D processes with the respective solution(s) for Novartis to ensure a proper setup of the Novartis owned warehouses across the globe.
About The Role
Major accountabilities:
Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Act as the Business Solution Manager responsible for Logistics W&D own warehouse in close collaboration with the GPO (Global Process Owners), Business Champions, Functional IT Experts and the LDC Adopt counterpart.
- Responsible to elaborate deliverables as per the project plan during conceptual design, build and adopt phase. Below is a list of such deliverables (not exhaustive)
- Ensure a proper design of the solution to setup and integrate the Novartis own warehouses in the upcoming LDC releases considering the core built in previous releases
- Establish or update business standard operating procedures.
- Review and adopt, if necessary, the training material and working instructions
- Execute business screening of IT solutions and testing of solution(s)
- Support and contribute to data migration in Logistics W&D own warehouse area.
- Align and agree on integration of relevant processes and their respective system solution(s) within Logistics W&D e.g. in the area commercial operations, Intercompany Order Management and Direct Procurement
- Ensures that user requirements and functional specifications are consistent with global / local processes.
- Contribute to master data preparation for Screening, Testing and cut over.
- Supports the adopt team to ensure proper go live of the upcoming releases.
- Secure business reporting requirements in Logistics W&D together with the Reporting and Analytics team
- Deliverables as per LDC Project plan per release
Work Experience:
- Various years of experience working in logistics within the own warehouse area in a manufacturing side either within Novartis or in the Pharmaceutical / Comparable Industry.
- Experience in designing own warehouse processes and the respective solution during an ERP implementation, ideally S4.
- Being part of a SAP EWM implementation / rollout program
- Understanding to translate local process requirements into a solution as part of the global design
- Successfully completed university degree in the fields of supply chain management, Logistics, Information science or comparable education.
- Ability to work independently and in a structured and careful manner.
- Positive and pro-active attitude.
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced, quickly changing work environment.
- High degree of teamwork and quality orientation
- Ability to operate in a global matrix environment.
- SAP Super user in Logistics W&D own warehouse area
